Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather criticized former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK rival Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making substantial earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really going ahead.
