Intensive Moscow's Assaults Disrupt Electricity Throughout Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in Ukraine
The country's power facilities have faced escalating strikes in recent weeks

During the night, Russian aerial assaults have caused electricity outages in large parts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were wounded while inhabitants in the city's east were plunged into darkness and dealt with problems to water systems, according to municipal leaders.

At the same time, a minor was lost their life in a separate aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia area in the country's south-east, as reported by local officials.

Russian forces has increased strikes on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while officials has requested "concrete actions" from allies to apply pressure on Russia.

"What is required is not window dressing but firm measures - from the America, the EU and the major economies - in supplying defensive weapons and implementing restrictions," mentioned in a online statement.

Officials stated that 450 drones and several dozen missiles targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, characterizing such attacks as "premeditated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as temperatures become colder.

Energy officials said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and technical staff were working to restore power.

A barrage of missiles struck power facilities and residential structures in the capital.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the assaults on the city have been hospitalized, as confirmed by local officials.

Area administrators said the urban area came under significant strikes during nighttime hours. A young boy died and three other people were hurt.

The strikes succeed evenings of aerial attacks in the area, parts of which are currently controlled by Moscow's military.

All of Ukraine is on alert for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are more difficult to spot.

Government officials told the media that Moscow was intentionally trying to destroy the national power system, with strikes already disrupting gas facilities.

Officials stated technical personnel and government agencies were bracing for further attacks.
